AICCCA 13th MID-WINTER CONFERENCE
AICCCA 12th Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.
July 14-16, 2005 – Hotel Washington
Attend our most informative conference yet!
- Visit our website at www.aiccca.org
Join us for an important conference where the critical topics of the day will be discussed. The invited speakers and some highlighted topics include:
- We are anxious to learn from the Department of Justice how the newly enacted Bankruptcy Reform legislation will affect our members and what agency requirements will be implemented to qualify agencies to perform debt counseling. The law requires NON-PROFITS only to provide such debtor counseling. Hear about the latest planning from the Executive Office for U.S. Trustees.
- We have invited the Internal Revenue Service to provide the latest on their non-profit policies.
- AICCCA will sponsor a Nuts and Bolts Bankruptcy Reform Workshop to help guide consumer credit counseling agencies through the legislative initiative and provide a “How To” discussion.
- The Assistant Attorney General and Deputy Chief of Consumer Protection Division of Maryland, Deanne Loonin, an attorney with the NCLC and other invited State officials will offer explanations into why the states have passed or are considering legislation allowing for-profit consumer credit counseling.
- The Creditors’ Panel always provides an interesting and informative discussion and a valuable opportunity to learn about policies affecting consumer credit counseling agencies. It promises to be even more important as new policies are being put in place to accommodate the new bankruptcy law.
- There will be two Networking Receptions for you to meet new agency members and non-members that share the same interests and issues in the CCS industry.
- This year we will host our Exhibitors in the main meeting room at the historic Hotel Washington providing a better opportunity for you to visit Exhibitors during the breakfast and breaks.
